We encourage parents and families to participate in their
child’s care. Therefore, two (2)
visitors are allowed at the bedside at any time. However, due to space limitations, only one
(1) parent may sleep at their child’s bedside.
If you need assistance with additional arrangements, our Social Services
Department is available to help.
To be consistent with the general hospital visiting hours,
only parents or caregivers are allowed after 9 pm. Visiting hours resume at 8 am every morning
for other visitors. To prevent the
spread of infections, we ask that you restrict visitors who may be ill.
Sibling visitation is permitted for one hour per day when
pre-arranged with the nurse or doctor if the child is not in isolation. Siblings must be at least 4 years of age and
free of any cold or flu symptoms to enter the PICU, except during RSV season,
when the age increases to 12 years. All
other visitors must be at least 12 years of age. Parents/caregivers must accompany and monitor
visitors under the age of 18 at all times while they are visiting.
