(Thursday, June 6, 2013) UPDATE: Today the La. Legislature approved HB 720 which allows the state to sell the NOAH property to Children's Hospital. This will allow the hospital to expand outpatient specialty clinics including outpatient surgery, and the NOAH campus will play an essential role in the hospital's growth of inpatient and outpatient pediatric services for decades to come.
UPDATE: HB 720 passed the Senate Health and Welfare committee. The bill will now go to the Senate floor for a vote.

Children's Hospital together with Reps. Neil Abramson, Helena Moreno and Walter Leger, announce that a Public Meeting will be held on Monday, May 6, 2013 at 6:30 PM. The purpose of the meeting is to announce and discuss the hospital's plans to expand child and adolescent behavioral health services.

Children's Hospital is the largest provider of child and adolescent behavioral health services in the community that includes:
A 33-bed inpatient adolescent and child psychiatric unit
An outpatient Rapid Treatment Center
The Audrey Hepburn Children At-Risk Evaluation (CARE) Center, that provides treatment and support for children and
adolescents who are victims of child abuse, including sexual abuse.
The New Orleans Child Advocacy Center (NOCAC) is a program of the Audrey Hepburn CARE Center that provides a coordinated, multi-agency approach to the investigation and treatment of child sexual and physical abuse.
