Children’s Hospital New Orleans has a long tradition of serving children and families from across Louisiana and the Gulf South. We are proud to provide the highest level of pediatric care to all kids and only kids, working diligently to expand access to care for children and families throughout our region.
Today, Children’s Hospital provides unmatched pediatric expertise with a vision to change the face of healthcare for all children. From the most complex pediatric procedures, to the everyday health of children and adolescents, our community can count on the extraordinary care provided by our pediatric-trained providers.

It is an unprecedented time in Children’s Hospital’s history! With a $300 million campus transformation and capital campaign effort underway, we are investing in the future of Louisiana’s children. The transformation of our Uptown campus is not only improving infrastructure and technology, the enhancements we’re introducing will make it easier for patients and families across the region to access our vital services.
Infrastructure
Transforming pediatric healthcare in Louisiana today improves the health
and well being of kids tomorrow. Children’s Hospital’s transformed
campus will include 235,000 square feet of new clinical care space, enabling the
expansion of our signature service lines – cardiac intensive care, cancer care, surgery and preoperative
services, emergency and trauma care, neonatal and pediatric intensive
care, and behavioral health.
Patient and Family Experience
The campus expansion will also
enhance the patient and family experience by providing more private patient rooms, upgraded critical care units
fully equipped with the latest medical technology, family overnight accommodations
on a park-like campus, and an enhanced Child Life Center featuring play
spaces and family support services. We’re building an environment
that supports optimal healing while allowing kids to still be kids, with
patient and family-centered care at its core.
Programs & People
In addition to the transformation of our physical campus, we’re building
innovative programs, investing in technology and research, and recruiting
some of the nation’s top pediatric providers to tackle the significant
health challenges our kids and communities are facing.
Our children are our future
We will not accept anything less than extraordinary child health outcomes. Louisiana’s children are depending on all of us to do more, to do better – and Children’s Hospital is responding with an unwavering commitment to do so.
We also know that we can’t accomplish our vision alone. We are extending beyond the walls of our hospital and clinics to build environments of health and well being for our kids where they are. We’re reaching out into the community and forming partnerships across the state that allow us to play an active role in influencing the social determinants of child health.
