The Kids Fund
Our Kid’s Fund ensures every kid receives extraordinary care, regardless of his or her family’s ability to pay for treatment. Caring for kids includes costs adult hospitals do not have – from kid-sized equipment to kid and family centered services not covered by insurance. Your gift to the Kids Fund, our most vital fund, is put to work immediately. Whether helping purchase new life-saving equipment or preemie diapers for our NICU, every dollar of your unconditional support impacts the most pressing needs of our patients, families, and our frontline caregivers. Help us continue to cure cancer, perform pediatric heart surgery, provide expert care for our tiniest patients in our NICU and 24/7 emergency care.

The Hales Fund
Dr. Stephen Hales has served the greater New Orleans community as a beloved community pediatrician for more than 40 years and has served on the Board Trustees for Children’s Hospital. With his leadership, Children’s Hospital first invested in Community Benefits Programs in the 1990s to best serve the needs of our community. Our Hales Fund for Community Programs continues that legacy of service to our Louisiana communities. The Hales Fund helps support programs like: The Audrey Hepburn Children at Risk Evaluation (CARE) Center, Autism Center, The Parenting Center, Ventilator-Assisted Care Program, Cochlear Implant Program, Immunization Program, The Miracle League of New Orleans & Northshore, ThriveKids Student Wellness Project, and The 15 White Coats.

Child Life Fund
Our Child Life Department is here to help patients understand their illnesses, decrease anxiety and cope with being in the hospital. Our specialists seek to make the hospital a "not-so-scary” place for children. With patients and families as the center of the team, we work to treat the whole child. The Child Life Department uses play, recreation and music to provide opportunities for our patients that encourage mastery, coping, normalization, socialization, and expression of feelings.
