Pop singer and songwriter, Robin Thicke, was crowned king of Bacchus LII at Children's Hospital on Saturday surrounded by patients, families, and staff. Thicke says it was a true honor following in his dad's footsteps, Alan Thicke, who was crowned Bacchus back in 1988. The crowing of Bacchus is a tradition that Children's Hospital has been celebrating for years. Thicke was joined by his fiance, April Love Geary, as well as key members of Bacchus. Robin Thicke receiving an award

The day started with a parade into the Lauricella Pavilion followed by games, face painting, the crowning of the king, and pictures with Thicke. One message that he shared with the crowd was that he hoped he was a beacon of light during this carnival season no matter what families were facing. "Nothing is more important in my life than my children and my family. What you all must be going through and how strong you have to be to continue this fight," says Thicke.

Bacchus successfully rode on Sunday night. Thicke immediately boarded a plane to head back to L.A. where he is currently filming the hit TV show, The Masked Singer.
