Children's Hospital tackles mental health issues through Virtual Summit

The COVID-19 pandemic and Simone Biles' withdrawal from some Olympic events have brought to light the mental health crisis that American children and teens are facing. Children's Hospital New Orleans is working to address and change this and one way we're doing that is through our Virtual Mental Health Summit.

This Friday, August 6, the pediatric experts at Children's Hospital are coming together with local mental health organizations, school communities, and government officials to have critical conversations on child mental health.

On Wednesday, Children's Hospital Psychologist, Dr. Diane Franz spoke to Fox 8 News on the issues we're seeing children face, and what Children's Hospital New Orleans is doing to help.
