Each location is staffed with Children’s Hospital pediatric Emergency Care physicians, nurse practitioners, and pediatric nurses all working together to provide comprehensive patient and family-centered care for a wide variety of illness and injuries.
Children's Hospital has the largest pediatric emergency department in Louisiana, with 46 beds and seeing more than 50,000 patients per year at our Main Campus location. The emergency department features fast track and rapid assessment rooms, as well as dedicated trauma bays and a private behavioral health pod.
