What is supervision like at Children’s Hospital?

Children’s Hospital supports a developmentally based supervision model. We support trainees where they are and recognize that skills are often unevenly developed at this stage of learning. This means trainees may have clear strengths in one area and need significant support in others. Our goal is for trainees is to move gradually and supportively towards increasing independence, confidence, and competence. All clinical supervisors are health psychologists at Children’s Hospital New Orleans.

Fellows have two primary supervisors (Amy Henke, PsyD ,Rebecca Wallace, PsyD, Christina Borgan PsyD and Diane Franz PhD) along with supervisors within specialty clinic rotations.
