The Neuromuscular Clinic at Children's Hospital New Orleans

The Children’s Hospital New Orleans Neuromuscular Clinic is a multidisciplinary clinic focused on delivering expert comprehensive care for children, adolescents, and young adults diagnosed with a neuromuscular condition. Providers from the Neurology, Orthopedics, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and Pulmonology Departments collaborate to review diagnostic testing and to develop an individualized care plan appropriate for each patient. Occupational and physical therapist also attend this clinic to assist with all wheelchair and other equipment needs as well as therapy needs. The team strives to deliver family-centered care to empower all patients and their families with the education and support they need to fully understand the child’s diagnosis and prognosis.

The Neuromuscular Clinic is held at the main campus at Children’s Hospital monthly.

The Neuromuscular Clinic requires an internal referral after the patient is evaluated by a pediatric neurologist, orthopedic surgeon, physical medicine and rehabilitation provider, or pulmonologist at Children’s Hospital New Orleans.
