Specialized care for perinatal patients

Our pediatric surgery team works closely with obstetricians and maternal fetal medicine providers to ensure that newborns and infants receive the care that is needed after birth. The team is available to meet with the expectant parents prenatally to discuss what to expect after the child is born. In addition, the team plays an active role in the monthly prenatal conference with the maternal fetal medicine and neonatology teams so that they are best prepared to treat the patient at the time of delivery. The pediatric surgery team provides valuable expertise and collaboration while creating a treatment plan that will best address the child’s congenital anomalies. The prenatal pediatric surgical consultation with the maternal fetal medicine providers and the expectant parents can have a significant impact on the perinatal management of the child.

Multidisciplinary Clinics

The Children’s Hospital Pediatric Surgery providers participate in several multidisciplinary clinics and programs offered to our patients. The team provides pediatric surgery expertise and collaborates with their colleagues to offer exceptional care and innovative procedures for their patients.
