The Colorectal Clinic at Children's Hospital New Orleans
The Children’s Hospital New Orleans Colorectal Clinic addresses the
unique needs of children, adolescents, and young adults with a colon and/or
rectum abnormality. The multidisciplinary care team includes providers
from the pediatric surgery, gastroenterology and urology departments who
work collaboratively to provide the evaluation, diagnosis, and a personalized
treatment plan to support these patients and their families. Many of these
conditions will impact the child’s quality of life and that of the
family. Our team is here to help improve the quality of life and well-being
of all our patients.
Conditions commonly treated include the following:
Anorectal malformation
Fecal incontinence
Functional constipation
Inflammatory bowel disease
Neurogenic bowel
Hirschsprung’s disease
Rectal prolapse
Refer a patient
The Colorectal Clinic takes place at the main campus at Children’s
Hospital on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. Referring providers should
contact the Pediatric Surgery Department for more information or to schedule
a patient.
